VolunteerBadge is a volunteer screening and management platform built specifically for nonprofits, churches, schools, and community organizations that need to keep their people safe without blowing through a tight budget. Most background check services price their products for corporate HR departments, leaving small and mid-sized nonprofits paying $25 to $50 per check or locking essential features behind expensive enterprise contracts. VolunteerBadge flips that model. Checks start at just $5 each, with no minimums and no long-term commitment, so a youth sports league or a local food bank can screen one volunteer or five hundred at a price that actually fits their reality.
The core product is a clean, fast background check that organizations can run in minutes. A volunteer receives a secure link, enters their information, and the organization gets a clear, easy-to-read result. Every verified volunteer earns a digital VolunteerBadge that proves they have been screened, which builds trust with parents, donors, and the community.
Beyond screening, VolunteerBadge solves the ongoing headache of managing a volunteer base. The platform includes volunteer hour tracking, so coordinators can log and report service time without spreadsheets. A built-in compliance roster shows at a glance who has been checked, who is due for re-screening, and who still needs to complete onboarding. This keeps organizations audit-ready and removes the manual tracking that eats up staff time.
The Pro tier, at $50 per month, unlocks the features growing organizations ask for most. It includes unlimited hour tracking, the full compliance roster, AI-powered grant writing that helps nonprofits draft and refine funding applications, and Dollars for Doers support that helps organizations capture corporate volunteer matching dollars they would otherwise miss. These tools turn VolunteerBadge into a year-round operations partner that helps nonprofits stay compliant, recruit confidently, and raise more money.
VolunteerBadge is designed to be genuinely easy to use. There is no complicated setup, no sales call required, and no enterprise jargon. A coordinator can sign up, run a check, and have a verified roster the same day. Pricing is transparent and predictable, which matters enormously to organizations that justify every dollar to a board or grant committee.
